Interview with Farouk Elghazi (Junior Software Developer – Datatex Italy)

Hello! How would you like to introduce yourself to the Datatex Magazine readers? Who are you? What are your passions and hobbies?

Good morning to all Datatex Magazine readers! I am Farouk Elghazi, a 22 year old young man originally from Rabat, Morocco. Today I live in Italy, I am a member of the Datatex development team in the Milan office and I started this exciting adventure in May 2023. Programming is my greatest passion and working for a market leader like Datatex gives me the opportunity to cultivate it every day. In my free time I like to hike in the mountains and go to the gym.

When did you start working at Datatex? What do you remember about when you started working with us and the first year you worked here?

I started my career at Datatex in May 2023; I started as an intern and after three months I was hired. The first period in the company was a fundamental experience for me, both from a training point of view and because it allowed me to fully discover that Datatex is a highly relevant organization in the IT sector, with an international dimension, a high-level team and winning products.

Thanks to the presence of my mentor, Laura Messineo, who still plays a crucial role in my integration process within the company, I never felt alone or lost.

From the very beginning, I had the opportunity to cut my teeth working on real projects with real customers, acquiring practical skills and measuring myself in the field against the concepts I had acquired in Datatex’s internal courses and in the Masters in Computer Science I had attended in Milan over the past few years. I am proud to be able to satisfy my passion for programming and put my skills to the test, working with NOW ERP by Datatex, the world’s best-selling management software for the textile industry, and using a sophisticated and comprehensive tool such as ABSolution, Datatex’s proprietary development tool.

The year 2023 has been a time of great professional and personal growth for me, I am grateful for the opportunities and support I have received and I look forward to the future and the challenges ahead at Datatex.

What do you appreciate most about your job and what are – in your opinion – the positive features and strengths of the Datatex world?

My work goes far beyond the borders of Italy, because Datatex is a world leader in software solutions for the textile and apparel industry, with customers in 45 countries on five continents and offices in ten countries. Working in this company means being part of a global and diverse environment, and one of the most fascinating things is the opportunity to interact with colleagues from all over the world.

Datatex is a true melting pot of talents and cultures, which contributes significantly to my professional growth. This diversity of perspectives and ideas is a hallmark of the company and creates a stimulating and enriching working environment.

For me, Datatex means a constant search for innovation, a wide range of solutions and a continuous commitment to improvement, all key elements in achieving a leading international position in IT solutions for the textile and fashion world. I am proud to be part of a visionary company and to contribute to its success on a global scale.

From a professional point of view, what has been the most important moment, and what has been the most significant accomplishment, that you have achieved since working at Datatex? Would you then also like to tell us a curious or funny story regarding Datatex?

From a professional standpoint, a defining moment came when I completed my first client assignment immediately after completing my ABS training. This experience was truly formative and opened my eyes to the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, and this process of continuous growth…

أهلاً! كيف تريد أن تقدم نفسك لقراء مجلة داتاتكس؟ من أنت؟ ما هي اهتماماتك وهواياتك؟

مرحبا بجميع قراء مجلة داتاتكس! أنا فاروق الغازي، عمري 22 سنة من الرباط، المغرب. أعيش اليوم في إيطاليا، وأنا عضو في فريق تطوير داتاتكس، فرع ميلانو

بدأت هذه المغامرة المثيرة في مايو 2023. البرمجة هي شغفي الأكبر، والعمل في شركة رائدة في مجالها مثل داتاتكس يتيح لي الفرصة لتطبيق شغفي كل يوم. في وقت فراغي أحب التنزه و تسلق جبال الألب الجميلة والذهاب إلى الصالة الرياضية

متى بدأت العمل في داتاتكس؟ ماذا تتذكر عندما بدأت العمل معنا وعن السنة الأولى من العمل؟

بدأت مسيرتي المهنية في داتاتكس مايو 2023 لقد بدأت كمتدرب ثم بعد ثلاثة أشهر تم تعييني كمبرمج بفريق التطوير
تمثل بدايتي في داتاتيكس تجربة أساسية بالنسبة لي، سواء من الناحية التعليمية أو من ناحية أنها أتاحت لي الفرصة أن أكتشف بشكل جذري كيف أن داتاتكس تعد منظمة رائدة بقطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات و تعتبر رائدة في مجالها حيث عتبر ذات أبعاد دولية، مع فريق رفيع المستوى
وبفضل وجود المدربة السيدة لاورا ميسينيو، التي لعبت ولازالت تلعب دورًا حاسمًا في عملية اندماجي في الشركة، حيث الشعور بالوحدة يعتبر شيئا منعدما

منذ البداية، أتيحت لي الفرصة لاكتساب الخبرة، والعمل على مشاريع حقيقية مع عملاء حقيقيين، واكتساب المهارات التقنية وقياس نفسي في هذا المجال فيما يتعلق بالمعرفة المكتسبة في دورات داتاتكس الداخلية أيضاً من خلال الدورات السابقة التي حضرتها في السنوات الأخيرة في ميلانو
أنا فخور بأنني قادر على إشباع شغفي بالبرمجة وأن أكون قادرًا على اختبار مهاراتي من خلال العمل إستخدام تقنيات

متطورة للغاية ك : ناو, وهو برنامج الإدارة الأكثر مبيعًا لصناعة النسيج في العالم، و كذلك استخدام منتجات أخرى تابعة ل داتاتكس ذات طابع تقني عالي مثل أ بي س
لقد كان عام 2023 فترة نمو مهني وشخصي كبير بالنسبة لي، وأنا ممتن للفرص والدعم الذي تلقيته وأتطلع بثقة إلى المستقبل والتحديات التي تنتظرني مع داتاتيكس

ما هو أكثر شيء تقدره في عملك وما هي – في رأيك – السمات الإيجابية ونقاط القوة في داتاتكس؟

جغرافيا عملي يتجاوز الحدود الإيطالية لأن داتاتيكس شركة رائدة عالميًا في مجال حلول البرمجيات لصناعة النسيج والملابس، ولديها عملاء في 45 دولة و 5 قارات ولديها مكاتب في عشر دول
العمل في هذه الشركة يعني أن تكون جزءًا من سياق عالمي ومتنوع، وأحد أكثر الأشياء أهمية بالنسبة لي كمبرمج شاب هو فرصة التفاعل مع الزملاء من جميع أنحاء العالم

داتاتيكس تعتبر مصدرا حقيقيا للمواهب والثقافات، والتي تساهم بشكل كبير في نموي المهني و الشخصي. هذا التنوع في وجهات النظر والأفكار هو سمة مميزة للشركة، مما يعزز بيئة العمل المحفزة بالنسبة لي، داتاتكس تعني بحثًا مستمرًا عن الابتكار، ومجموعة واسعة من الحلول و التطوير ، وجميع العناصر الرئيسية التي تسمح لنا بأن يكون لنا موقع قيادي دولي في حلول تكنولوجيا المعلومات لعالم المنسوجات والأزياء. أنا فخور بأن أكون جزءًا من شركة ذات رؤية وأن أساهم بعملي في نجاحها على مستوى العالم

من وجهة نظر مهنية، ما هي أهم لحظة، وما هو أهم إنجاز حققته منذ العمل في داتاتكس ؟ هل ترغب بعد ذلك أيضًا في إخبارنا بقصة غريبة أو مضحكة بخصوص داتاتكس ؟
من وجهة نظر مهنية،كانت لحظة ذات أهمية كبيرة بالنسبة لي عندما قمت بتلبية إحدى رغبات أحد من عملائنا، و كان ذلك فور انتهائي من الدورة التدريبية المتعلقة بـ أ بي س
لقد كانت هذه التجربة تكوينية ذات طابع خاص حيث فتحت لي المجال للعديد من التحديات والفرص التي تنتظرني
يمثل كل يوم فرصة لتعلم شيء جديد، وتستمر عملية النمو هذه
